Images from document scanners and digital copiers are transferred directly into DocuWare. This makes capturing paper documents extremely simple. With robust full text recognition (OCR), a document stored in DocuWare can be retrieved on a word-for-word basis. Barcodes are automatically scanned, their information added as keywords and linked to external data sources for enhanced indexing.

Using the universal interfaces TIFFMAKER and COLD, DocuWare stores data and documents from virtually any business/ accounting software program in one central, tamper-free document pool. Leading systems from SAP, Navision, SageKHK and Exact are directly integrated via certified interfaces. Even incoming invoices can be automatically filed with the help of barcode recognition and external index enhancement.

 A plug-in lets you take files directly from Microsoft Office and place them into the DocuWare central document pool. Powerful functions monitor designated file folders to automatically import new files. Sophisticated mechanisms index the files automatically, preparing them for full text retrieval. Special interfaces integrate leading CAD programs with DocuWare. An extensive toolkit gives programmers the power to integrate DocuWare in every other application.

MAPI-interfaces to Outlook/ Exchange and the connection to Lotus Notes lets you store e-mail and other Groupware objects in DocuWare’s central document pool – automatically. No more separate filing for these documents. Plus, e-mail databases aren’t overloaded, simplifying their administration.
